titleOfInvention | Therapeutic delivery system including hollow seeds, preferably made of metal and uses thereof |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nA hollow metal seed is provided wherein the therapeutic agent (eg, nucleic acid or cytokine) is encapsulated therein. The therapeutic agent diffuses out of the seeds via one or more holes located in the hollow metal seeds, thereby being transported to the target site (eg, tumor cells). These hollow metal seeds can be accurately delivered to the target site (eg, inside a tumor), preferably by using stereotactic guidance, ultrasound, CT or MRI. |
