(57) [Summary]nDisclosed are isolated human monoclonal antibodies and antigen-binding portions thereof that specifically bind to one or more strains of Staphylococcus aureus, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains. These human antibodies can be produced in non-human transgenic animals, such as transgenic mice, which can produce multiple isotypes of a human monoclonal antibody by undergoing V-D-J recombination and isotype switching. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions comprising these human antibodies, non-human transgenic animals and hybridomas producing these human antibodies, and therapeutic and diagnostic methods using these human antibodies. . |
