(57) Abstract: formula CF (R 1 f) = CF 2 (R 1 f is F or CF is 3) discloses a process for producing perfluoroolefin. This method, (a) expression cyclobutane [wherein R 2 f of (I) is F or CF 3, with one R 1 is H, the other R 1 may, when R 2 f is F H, CH 3 when R 1 f is CF 3 ] is used to replace all the hydrogens in the cyclobutane of the above formula with fluorine in a solution of anhydrous liquid hydrogen fluoride in an electrochemical cell. Perfluorinating by Simons electrochemical fluorination method at a temperature and pressure sufficient to: and (b) decomposing the perfluorinated cyclobutane. The disclosed decomposition method includes contacting the perfluorinated cyclobutane with carbon or a conductive metal, which has been heated by induction heating to a temperature sufficient to decompose the perfluorinated cyclobutane. |
