abstract (57) Abstract: A method and equipment for inspecting a fuel element of a nuclear reactor is provided. The boiling water reactor fuel elements (A, A ', B, B') are shipped while they are placed in the core, and the fuel elements are gas cushioned in a hood where their tips are placed. Heat automatically below. At that time, water is collected from each fuel element, and the content of the gaseous radioactive material in the water is inspected online by degassing. The fuel elements are first tested in groups (I, II, III, IV) and, if there is individual radioactivity, the fuel elements are subsequently tested individually.
