abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective means for preventing / removing adhesion of a coating liquid solid due to drying of a head tip which causes quality deterioration in a slit coat. SOLUTION: A bath filled with a cleaning liquid is provided with an ultrasonic vibrator, and the head end is immersed in the bath while being vibrated. Further, if the cleaning liquid is heated or the cleaning liquid is discharged from the head as needed, it becomes more effective.
