abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a UV-permeable carrier and a photocatalyst structure carried on the carrier, the decomposition performance of which is further improved. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst structure comprising an ultraviolet-transparent carrier and a photocatalyst carried on the carrier, wherein the photocatalyst has a shape of a coating film and a fine particle. This photocatalyst structure is coated on a silica sand surface with a raw material liquid in which photocatalyst component particles are dispersed in a gel solution used for forming a photocatalytic component coating by a sol-gel method. It is produced by forming a coated film of the photocatalytic component and supporting the fine particles of the photocatalytic component on the surface of silica sand. |
