titleOfInvention | Photocatalytic device provided with photocatalyst-supporting optical fiber and photocatalytic reaction device |
abstract | (57) [Problem] A conventional photocatalyst device has a low contact area between an object and a photocatalyst and low light utilization efficiency. The present invention relates to a photocatalyst device provided with a plurality of photocatalyst-carrying optical fibers, and includes a plurality of photocatalyst-carrying optical fibers each comprising a core and a photocatalyst coated on the core or a photocatalyst clad containing an adsorbent. The fiber comprises a supporting member in which the fibers are planted by an electrostatic flocking method or the like. Light collecting means may be provided at one end of the photocatalyst-carrying optical fiber. An adhesive member may be interposed between the photocatalyst-carrying optical fiber and the support member. A light transmissive member may be used as the support member, and a side surface or a periphery of the surface may be a light introducing portion for introducing a light beam from the light source. The light source may be arranged near the light introducing portion or may be arranged separately from the photocatalyst device using an optical fiber for light transmission. A conductive member may be interposed between the adhesive member and the support member. The support member may be provided with a through hole through which the fluid can pass. In the present invention, the contact area between the object and the photocatalyst is large, and the light use efficiency is high. |
