titleOfInvention Receiver
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] For example, when a digital broadcast receiving device that transmits program information by adding a reception target area code is moved by transportation or the like, the program information for the current reception area is transmitted. A problem arises in that the user cannot view the program and view program information in an incorrect area. SOLUTION: A reception area detector 200 automatically detects a reception area corresponding to a current position. EPG processor 14 0 indicates a received broadcast service by outputting a service identification for specifying a broadcast service of the program to the program selector 160 when a program to be viewed is selected by a user's remote control operation or the like. The program selector 160 decodes each program information described in the PMT, extracts a reception target area, and sets the current reception area detected by the reception area detector 200 based on the reception target area as the reception target area. Only the included program information is selected, a stream format descriptor of the program information is instructed to the demultiplexer 110, and the obtained program information is decoded by the decoder 120.
