abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] The wavelength dependence of the phase difference and the photoelastic coefficient are small, Provide a retardation film which is easy to impart a retardation and which has excellent durability and heat resistance in a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: (1) A film containing (A) a cellulose derivative and (B) a deterioration inhibitor, wherein the retardation of the film is from 5 nm to 2000 for monochromatic light having a retardation of 550 nm. and the ratio Re (441.1) of the phase difference (Re (441.6)) to the monochromatic light of 441.6 nm and the phase difference (Re (514.5)) to the monochromatic light of 514.5 nm. 6) A retardation film having /Re(514.5) of 0.98 to 1.02.
