(57) [Summary] To reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides from a combustion process. SOLUTION: A temperature-sensitive liquid reagent is injected into an exhaust gas stream from a combustion process, and the exhaust gas and the reagent are passed through a catalytic reactor that reduces nitrogen oxides in the presence of the reagent, thereby producing combustion. A method is provided for reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides from a process. The method includes providing an injector having an orifice for atomizing the liquid reagent, disposing a portion of the injector having the orifice in the exhaust gas stream, and continuously dispensing the reagent therein. Cooling both the injector and the reagent by circulating to maintain both the injector and the reagent below a critical temperature at which the reagent coagulates; and removing a portion of the reagent in the exhaust gas stream upstream of the reactor. And a step of injecting. |
