abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing excellent in heat resistance, exhibiting moldability and workability similar to conventional thermosetting resin laminates, and having low dielectric loss tangent in a high frequency band and excellent low loss properties. Provided are a curable resin composition from which a wiring board can be obtained, and a prepreg for a laminate and a metal-clad laminate using the same. (A) a cyanate ester compound, Modified cyanate ester-based curability containing (B) a monohydric phenol compound, (C) a polybutadiene resin, (D) a flame retardant having no reactivity with a cyanate ester compound, and (E) a metal-based reaction catalyst as essential components. Resin composition. The composition is dissolved or dispersed in a solvent to form a resin varnish for a laminate, and the varnish is impregnated into a substrate and then dried to produce a prepreg for a laminate. A metal-clad laminate obtained by pressing.
