abstract | (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a novel compound suitable as an electron transporting agent in an organic electrophotographic photosensitive member, and a highly sensitive electrophotographic photosensitive member using the compound. An imide compound represented by the following formula (1). [Wherein, R 1 to R 5 each independently represent a fluorine atom, a perfluoroalkyl group, a perfluoroalkyloxy group, Represents a perfluoroalkylthio group, and Rg represents an optionally substituted aromatic ring or a triple bond. However, this excludes the case where Rg is a tetrafluorophenyl group and all of R 1 to R 5 are fluorine atoms.
