titleOfInvention Water treatment equipment
abstract (57) [Summary] To provide a water treatment apparatus capable of stably supplying a high treatment capacity. SOLUTION: A treated water tank 1 is partitioned by a diaphragm 2 into an anode chamber 3A and a cathode chamber 4A. The diaphragm 2 is composed of a cation exchange membrane. The electrode 4 is made of an alloy containing copper as a main component, such as a Devarda alloy, and a metal having a higher ionization tendency than copper. In the treatment water tank 1, the alkali salt is supplied from the alkali salt supply device 6 and the electrode 3 When the water to be treated is electrolyzed between the (anode) and the electrode 4 (cathode), the cathode chamber 4A becomes alkaline. Then, in the alkaline solution, nitrate nitrogen in the water to be treated is reduced by the electrode 4 to ammonium ions.
