abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appearance of Japanese paper, which is a polyester film, for labeling bottles, especially having a paper-like appearance on the surface, and in which wrinkles, shrinkage spots and distortion due to shrinkage are extremely small. Provided is a heat-shrinkable polyester film used for a label having the same. SOLUTION: The film thickness difference per 1 cm length in the main shrinking direction and the direction orthogonal to the main shrinking direction of the film is 3 μm or more, the film contains cavities, and the average cavity diameter of the surface layer on at least one surface in the film thickness direction is 5 μm. m or less, and the average cavity diameter at the center in the film thickness direction is 15 μm or more.
