titleOfInvention Catalyst carrier and catalyst for exhaust gas purification
abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] NO x even after a lean / rich endurance test in a high temperature range by using a catalyst carrier capable of highly suppressing sulfur poisoning. Use a catalyst with excellent storage capacity. SOLUTION: A catalyst carrier having a CO 2 desorption amount per unit specific surface area of 100 to 300 ° C. of 0.05 μmol / m 2 or less and having substantially no basic points is used. Since it has substantially no basic points, the chemical adsorption of SO x is suppressed. Also SO x physically adsorbed exist, mostly desorbed at 300 ° C. or higher. Therefore, in a catalyst for purifying exhaust gas of automobiles using this catalyst carrier, sulfur poisoning is highly suppressed.
