abstract	(57) [Problem] To provide a developing device and the like having a uniform pressing force of a layer thickness regulating member against a developer carrying roller and having a seal structure in which a developer is hardly leaked. SOLUTION: A layer thickness regulating member 560 having a contact member 560a and an urging member 560b is attached to a developer carrying roller 510. In the developing device provided with the pressing member 570 that presses to the side, both ends of the pressing member 570 in the axial direction of the developer carrying roller 510 are located outside the both ends of the contact member 560a.
