abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a magneto-optical recording medium capable of performing recording with a stable recording magnetic domain shape even in a very small magnetic domain having a magnetic domain length of 100 nm or less, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the present invention, at the time of forming a recording layer, an operation including interruption and restart is performed at least once. That is, when the thickness of the recording layer reaches a predetermined thickness during the formation of the recording layer, at least one operation of temporarily stopping the film formation and restarting the film formation after a predetermined time has elapsed. The process is repeated to form a recording layer. Since the recording layer formed by such a film forming method is formed by uniformly forming fine magnetic particles, the shape stability of the recording magnetic domain is improved. That is, according to the manufacturing method of the present invention, a magneto-optical recording medium capable of recording a magnetic domain having excellent shape stability can be manufactured. |
