abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Problem] To make paper, plastic, Continuously produce calcium carbonate whiskers useful as functional fillers such as rubber. SOLUTION: A calcium hydroxide suspension and an aqueous solution mainly containing sodium carbonate are continuously added to a reaction tank to cause a causticization reaction, and a product of a calcium ion concentration and a carbonate ion concentration in the reaction tank, [Ca 2+] [CO 3 2- ] calcium ion concentration and the carbonate ion concentration ratio, [Ca 2+] / [CO 3 2-] is calcium hydroxide suspension to be within the specified range and A calcium carbonate whisker useful as a functional filler for papermaking, plastics, rubber, and the like is obtained by adjusting the concentration and the addition flow rate of an aqueous solution mainly containing an aqueous solution of sodium carbonate, and controlling the reaction temperature. |
