PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image by discharging an ink containing a water-soluble substance (for example, a hydrolyzable silane compound) which undergoes a polycondensation reaction in the absence of water from a nozzle to form an image on a nozzle plate. This prevents ink landing deviations and the like caused by the adhesion of ink, thereby improving image quality. SOLUTION: A water-soluble substance which undergoes a polycondensation reaction in the absence of water contains an alkyl fluoride group. Or the nozzle plate 9 Is subjected to a surface treatment with a trialkylsilane compound. |
