abstract (57) [Problem] To perform gradation processing applicable to digital medical images to various types of images. A method for creating a gradation curve for a gradation process of a medical image represented by a digital signal representation to generate a gradation-processed image, the signal defining the shape of the gradation curve and the gradation curve. A range is deduced from the digital signal representation and the gradient image has a fixed density and a fixed contrast value within the range most relevant for diagnosis.
