SOLUTION: A heat treatment is performed on a carbon precursor to apply a shearing force to preliminary graphite in which a crystallite size Lc in the c-axis direction has grown, and then graphitize to produce a negative electrode material for a lithium secondary battery. The heat treatment temperature of the carbon precursor is 1600 to 220 The preliminary graphite may have a crystallite size La in the a-axis direction of about 1 to 10 nm and a crystallite size Lc in the c-axis direction of about 5 to 30 nm. |
