titleOfInvention How to repair turbine engine parts
abstract (57) [Summary] To provide a method of repairing a turbine engine component. SOLUTION: The repair method according to the present invention for a turbine engine component such as a vane or a blade having an airfoil, removing oxide deposits from each part of the component showing damage due to crushing or oxidation of the thermal insulation coating, and removing ceramic from the component. Removing the heat insulation layer and blending the surface of the part where chips, dents or cracks are found. If the component has a degraded aluminum area, the degraded area is removed or replenished. In addition, the tip of the part is repaired if it is damaged, The tip is polished to restore the cutting ability of the part. Thereafter, a ceramic coating is applied to the component.
