abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin which can efficiently obtain a molded article having excellent transparency, heat resistance and strength by using an antimony compound which is an inexpensive and useful catalyst as a catalyst. SOLUTION: A dicarboxylic acid component containing an aromatic carboxylic acid or an ester-forming derivative thereof and a diol component containing ethylene glycol are subjected to at least an antimony compound and a phosphorus compound through an esterification reaction or a transesterification reaction. A polyester resin obtained by polycondensation in the presence of an ethylene glycol component in an amount of 96 mol% or more of the total glycol component, a diethylene glycol component in an amount of 2.5 mol% or less of the total glycol component, and a terephthalic acid component of 98.5 mol% or more of the component, and the intrinsic viscosity IV is 0.65 to 0.90 dl / g; A polyester resin having a cooling crystallization temperature Tc2 of 150 to 200C. |
