abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for selectively removing impurities from a fullerene-containing soot-like substance to produce useful fullerenes with high purity and high yield. SOLUTION: A first step in which a fullerene-containing soot-like substance 11 is mixed with an extraction solvent containing an aromatic hydrocarbon to obtain an extract, and a precipitate formed by adding a polar solvent to the extract is separated from the solution. It has a second step of removing, a third step of removing or reducing the content of the polar solvent in the solution, and a fourth step of precipitating fullerenes from the solution obtained through the third step. |
