(57) [Problem] To provide a hydrogen generation system capable of efficiently collecting water from water vapor generated in a hydrogen reaction section of a fuel cell or the like and suppressing an increase in the size of the system. SOLUTION: The hydrogen generation system includes a hydrogen generator 12 for generating hydrogen by a reaction between water and a hydride 23, and a fuel cell 13 for obtaining energy by reacting the hydrogen generated by the hydrogen generator 12 with oxygen. And The exhaust gas containing water generated by the reaction of hydrogen in the fuel cell 13 is expanded. The water is recovered by condensing the water vapor in the exhaust gas by expansion at 14, and the recovered water is used for the reaction with the hydride 23 in the hydrogen generator 12. As the expander 14, a scroll expander is used. |
