abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording ink, an ink jet recording ink set, and an ink jet recording ink capable of forming a high quality ink jet image which is excellent in light resistance and suppresses the occurrence of bleeding. Provided is an inkjet recording method using an ink set. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording ink containing a water-soluble dye, water and a water-soluble organic solvent, the water-soluble dye is at least one of specific compounds represented by formulas (1) to (5) or water-soluble. Wherein the content of the water-soluble organic solvent is 5 to 40% by mass, and the proportion of tripropylene glycol in the water-soluble organic solvent is 25 to 100% by mass.
