titleOfInvention | Novel genes and their encoded proteins |
abstract | (57) [abstract] (with correction) [Problem] To obtain proteins from cDNA libraries derived from KG-1 (myeloblast cell line), human adult whole brain, human tonsils, human adult hippocampus and human fetal whole brain The direct cloning of new DNA containing the coding region, determining their nucleotide sequence, and further identifying their function. A DNA comprising a base sequence encoding the following polypeptide (a) or (b): (a) a DNA having the same or substantially the same amino acid sequence as any one of 49 specific sequences; A polypeptide comprising (b) an amino acid sequence in which some amino acids have been deleted, substituted or added in any of the 49 types of specific sequences, and which has substantially the same function as the polypeptide of (a). A polypeptide having the same biological activity, a recombinant polypeptide encoded by the DNA, and a protein containing the polypeptide. |
