SOLUTION: General formula (I) [In the formula, X is a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, Y is a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, a trifluoromethyl group, and a 2 to 8 carbon atom. Represents a linear or branched alkenyl group or a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, m and n are each independently 0 or 1, ... is a single bond, and A is -S- (CH 2 ) c- (C is 0, 1, 2 or 3), B is hydrogen or a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are hydrogen A linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or a pharmacologically acceptable cation, which may be the same or different and represented by a methanebisphosphonic acid derivative or a hydrate thereof. COX-2 inhibitor as a component. [Effect] The methanebisphosphonic acid derivative represented by the general formula (I) or its hydrate according to the present invention suppresses COX-2, and its pathological condition involves COX-2 in colorectal cancer, bone pain, etc. Useful for prevention and treatment of
