abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forced sieving method suitable for giving a powdery substance a particle size distribution spectrum composed of a main mode having a narrow distribution centered on a value of several tens of microns and a part of a micron-sized powder. An apparatus suitable for performing the forced sieving method; and a method for preparing a well-mixed blend of at least two powdered substances using the forced sieving method. SOLUTION: The powdery substance is forced to pass through a strong assembly in which at least two screens are overlapped on each other. Each screen has a different hole diameter and is arranged such that the diameter of the hole increases as the powdered material passes through the assembly.
