(57) [Problem] A main object of the present invention is to uniformly disperse a swellable layered silicate in an aromatic polyester at a molecular level. SOLUTION: (1) An aromatic polyester copolymer containing a polyoxyalkylene glycol derivative such as polyoxyethylene glycol methyl 1,2-dihydroxypropyl ether as a diol component, and (2) a swellable layered silicate.
