abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a negative electrode of a secondary battery in which the resistance inside the battery and the capacity decrease are suppressed even after a high capacity and cycles, and a secondary battery using the same. SOLUTION: A first active material layer 2a made of a member for occluding and releasing Li is formed on a current collector 1a, and further formed thereon. The second active material layer 3a which is an alloy layer containing a metal which forms an alloy with lithium or lithium and a metal which does not form an alloy with lithium is formed. A secondary battery is formed using the above negative electrode.
