titleOfInvention | Method for producing thiazole by condensation of halogenated ketone and thioformamide |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing thiazoles easily and in high yield. SOLUTION: A process for producing thiazoles, wherein thioformamide is condensed in the presence of a halogenated ketone and an organic acid or a salt thereof. The halogenated ketone is preferably represented by the formula (I). Embedded image In the formula, X represents a halogen atom, R 1 represents an alkyl group or an aryl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R 2 represents a hydroxyalkylene group whose hydroxyl group may be protected. As the organic acid, a lower carboxylic acid such as acetic acid is preferable. |
