abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound of the general formula (1) under mild conditions by a simple method. (In the formula, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 represent groups that do not participate in the reaction. Note that R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are bonded to each other to form a ring. From an ammonium salt of an anthranilic acid derivative represented by the general formula (2): (Wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 have the same meanings as described above), which is capable of producing a quinazolin-4-one derivative in high yield and which is industrially suitable. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an on derivative. The object of the present invention is solved by a method for producing a quinazolin-4-one derivative, which comprises reacting an ammonium salt of an anthranilic acid derivative with a formic acid derivative.
