titleOfInvention Production intermediate
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substituted phenylpropionic acid derivative ((S) -2-[[3- [N- [4-[(4-fluorophenoxy) phenyl] methyl]) which is effective for treating metabolic diseases For the industrial production of carbamoyl] -4-methoxyphenyl] methyl] butanoic acid (compound (1) etc.), the raw material 4- (4-fluorophenoxy) benzylamine hydrochloride is easily and safely produced. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new intermediate for production and a production method using it. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the production of 4- (4-fluorophenoxy) benzylamine hydrochloride on an industrial scale, and 4- (4-fluorophenoxy) as an intermediate for the production thereof. The present inventors have found a benzaldehyde oxime, and have established a production method which leads to 4- (4-fluorophenoxy) benzylamine hydrochloride by simply and safely reducing the same, thereby completing the present invention.
