titleOfInvention Photocatalyst device
abstract (57) Abstract: The present invention provides a method of performing a purification treatment, a reaction treatment, or the like between a photocatalyst layer surface of a photocatalyst support object and a short-wavelength light source separated from the photocatalyst support as in the prior art. An object of the present invention is to propose a photocatalyst device in which a target object is not interposed, the light beam use efficiency is high, and the light beam can be used effectively. The present invention uses a short-wavelength light transmitting member as a support, provides a photocatalytic layer on the front or back surface of the short-wavelength light transmitting member, and introduces a short-wavelength light from the outside into the short-wavelength light transmitting member. Then, the short-wavelength light is made to propagate through the inside and leak out little by little from the short-wavelength light transmitting member, so that the leaked short-wavelength light illuminates and activates the photocatalytic layer.
