PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce mottle and improve image uniformity in a photothermographic imaging material. A non-photosensitive source of photosensitive silver halide and reducible silver ions, and a reducing composition for the non-photosensitive source of reducible silver ions, in reactive association therewith. A photothermographic material comprising a support having thereon one or more thermally developable image-forming layers, said one or more thermally developable image-forming layers comprising: The photothermographic material further comprises one or more radiation-absorbing compounds that provide a total absorbance at the exposure wavelength of greater than 0.6 and less than or equal to 3 in the developable imaging layer, wherein the photothermographic material is transported at a speed of at least 5 m / min. A photothermographic material, characterized in that the one or more heat-developable image-forming layers are applied and dried in between. |
