titleOfInvention | Nonlinear optical material and compound used therefor |
abstract | [PROBLEMS] To provide an organic nonlinear optical material exhibiting high nonlinear optical response and a novel compound constituting the material. A nonlinear optical material having a compound represented by the following formula (1) as a nonlinear optically responsive substance, and a compound represented by the following formula (2) used therein. Formula (1) In the formula, Ar represents a divalent aromatic ring. L represents a methine group. W represents an atomic group necessary for forming a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic ring. Z represents an atomic group necessary for forming a 5-membered heterocyclic ring. Formula (2) In the formula, R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group. X and Y are independently an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or N- R 1 is represented. R 1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group. Z 1 represents an atomic group necessary for forming pyrrole, diazole, triazole or tetrazole. |
