abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a biodegradable synthetic filament excellent in mechanical strength and heat resistance. SOLUTION: A layered silicate having a biodegradable polyester resin containing 50 parts by mass or more of polylactic acid and a primary to tertiary amine salt, a quaternary ammonium salt or a phosphonium salt ion-bonded between layers. A biodegradable synthetic filament comprising 1 to 20 parts by mass. The biodegradable synthetic filament may be a multifilament or a monofilament. Further, the melting point of polylactic acid is preferably 160 ° C. or higher.
