abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide an image display device capable of displaying an image excellent in stability, particularly in memory characteristics, in a dry display device in which particles are sealed between two substrates. Kind Code: A1 Abstract: Two or more kinds of particles having different colors and different charging characteristics or one kind of particles are sealed between opposed substrates at least one of which is transparent, and an electric field is applied between the substrates to move the particles. In an image display device for displaying an image, a voltage of 8 KV is applied to a corona discharger arranged at a distance of 1 mm from the surface of the particles to generate a corona discharge and charge the surface. An image display particle in which the surface potential of each particle after 300 seconds is larger than 300 V, and an image display device using the particle. |
