titleOfInvention Data transfer relay device between devices according to SMII standard and method thereof
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] MAC chip and P to which SMII standard is applied Provided is an apparatus and a method for relaying data transfer between apparatuses conforming to the SMII standard, which overcomes a restriction on a PCB pattern distance to a HY chip and prevents a transfer error due to a data transfer delay. SOLUTION: A data transfer relay device between devices based on SMII standard is a PHY chip / MAC according to SMII standard. In a device for relaying data transfer between different first and second devices corresponding to respective chips, a transfer data input from the first device is re-synchronized and buffered a predetermined number of times in segments of a predetermined number of clocks. The apparatus further comprises at least one buffer means for outputting to the second device.
