(57) [Problem] To provide an adhesive having a small amount of residual vinyl acetate monomer, containing little or no formaldehyde, and further having excellent boiling adhesive properties, particularly an adhesive for woodworking. SOLUTION: A vinyl alcohol polymer having a saponification degree of 70 mol% or more is used as a dispersant, the amount of unreacted vinyl acetate monomer is 0.2% by weight or less, and the formaldehyde concentration is 1 p. An adhesive obtained by blending a polyvalent isocyanate compound (B) and a vinyl alcohol-based polymer (C) with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer-based resin emulsion (A) having a viscosity of not more than pm. |
