The present invention provides a polarizing film having uniform polarization performance. SOLUTION: When a film-forming raw material containing a vinyl alcohol-based polymer is cast or discharged onto an endless belt stretched between two or more rolls from a slit-shaped opening, a film is formed by slitting.
