abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a trans-4-substituted piperidine-2-carboxylate with high selectivity and high yield. SOLUTION: A trans-4-substituted piperidine-2-carbonitrile is obtained by nitrilation reaction of an alkali metal cyanide on a 4-substituted-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridine under the action of a mineral acid catalyst. The trans-4-substituted piperidin-2-carbonitrile is isolated without isolating the trans-4-substituted piperidine-2-carbonitrile from the nitrile-forming step to be formed and the nitrile-reaction reaction solution obtained in the nitrilation step. Trans-4-substituted piperidine-2 is obtained by hydrolysis reaction of mineral acids on carbonitrile. -A process for producing trans-4-substituted piperidine-2-carboxylates, which comprises a hydrolysis step for producing carboxylate salts. |
