titleOfInvention | Anti-influenza drug |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide an agent for treating or preventing influenza virus infection. An anti-influenza drug comprising ambroxol, bromhexine, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. It is characterized by having an anti-influenza effect by promoting secretion of an in-vivo factor exhibiting an anti-influenza virus effect contained in airway secretions. It is characterized by suppressing the growth of influenza virus in the respiratory tract through the promotion of secretion of an inhibitor against proteases in the respiratory tract that induce influenza virus infectivity. Further, the present invention is characterized in that influenza virus growth in the respiratory tract is suppressed through promotion of secretion of mucosal immune substances IgA and IgG. Furthermore, it is characterized by suppressing the release of inflammatory cytokines in the respiratory tract. It is an agent for treating or preventing influenza virus infection. |
