SOLUTION: A washing tub for accommodating laundry, a water flow generating means (pulsator) 7 for generating a water flow in the washing tub to wash the laundry, and an electrode 33 for electrolyzing tap water. To constitute the electric washing machine 4. An electrolytic device 31 is provided for generating a cleaning liquid by energizing each electrode 33 and electrolyzing tap water. A cation removal device 50 for removing cations in tap water is provided. The tap water from which the cations have been removed by the cation removal device 50 is used as the electrolytic device 31. And the cleaning liquid generated by the electrolytic device 31 is supplied into the washing tub.
