titleOfInvention | Process for producing diaryl sulfone polycarboxylic acids or anhydrides thereof |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a diaryl sulfone polycarboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof which is a useful material having a wide range of uses. SOLUTION: General formula (1) [In the formula, Ar represents a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring. X Represents a nitro group or a halogen group. n represents an integer of 1 to 3. Sulfide dimerization to obtain diarylthiopolycarboxylic acids or anhydrides thereof by reacting aromatic carboxylic acids, anhydrides or alkyl esters having 1 to 8 carbon atoms thereof with sulfur or sulfides Process and An oxidation step of oxidizing the obtained diarylthiopolycarboxylic acids or their anhydrides with an oxidizing agent, [Wherein, Ar, X and n have the same meanings as in the general formula (1), respectively. The method for producing a diarylsulfone polycarboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof represented by the formula: |
