titleOfInvention EL display element, driving method thereof, and display for portable terminal using the same
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To prevent high speed operation when an EL element has a large junction capacitance, and to control a drive current for a switching transistor connected to a power supply line when a current path changes. The switching transistor becomes a source follower, and the source voltage of the driving transistor fluctuates due to the characteristics of the switching transistor. SOLUTION: A transistor for controlling a current flowing through an EL element does not have a source follower configuration, and a driving voltage can be reduced and a circuit configuration suitable for high-speed operation is provided.
