titleOfInvention Treatment method and treatment agent for lead-containing wastewater
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing lead to a level lower than a wastewater standard only by adjusting pH by adding an alkali when removing lead contained in wastewater, and a chemical for the purpose. SOLUTION: An alkali is added to the water to be treated containing dissolved lead in the presence of an oxidizing agent and a carbonate ion, and the dissolved lead ion contained in the water is converted to a mineral-like substance such as insoluble hydrocerrussite (lead hydroxycarbonate). It is insolubilized as a substance and separated and removed.
