abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a sulfur detection sensor capable of measuring a sulfur content in a gas substantially free of oxygen. A sulfur detection sensor capable of detecting an integrated amount of a sulfur component in a sulfur-containing gas stream, comprising: a substrate 10 formed of a solid electrolyte material to which oxygen ions can move; Substrate 1 in contact with said sulfur-containing gas stream 0, a working electrode 12 made of a material whose electric resistance increases by reacting with a sulfur component in the sulfur-containing gas stream and oxygen ions moving through the substrate 10, and a substrate in contact with the oxygen-containing gas. An external circuit formed on the other surface of the substrate 10 and provided with a counter electrode for supplying oxygen ions from the oxygen-containing gas to the substrate 10 and comprising wires 16 and 18 for electrically connecting the working electrode 12 and the counter electrode 14 is provided.
