PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic tension having excellent adhesion and bending characteristics even after high-temperature and long-time strain relief annealing, and without any deterioration of iron loss which is a concern during such strain relief annealing. Provided is an ultra-low iron loss unidirectional silicon steel sheet having a coating. SOLUTION: The surface of a finish-annealed unidirectional silicon steel sheet is coated with an ultra-thin ceramic coating which is crystalline and has a (222) / (200) diffraction peak intensity ratio preferentially oriented to 1.2 or more by X-ray diffraction.
